Suhail Abualsameed is an international consultant with more than 23 years of experience advancing gender equality, social inclusion, and organizational development across government, private sector, humanitarian, and international development contexts. He has worked with UN agencies, international NGOs, national aid agencies, private sector corporations and community-based organizations to design and implement strategies that promote women’s economic empowerment, workplace equity, and the inclusion of marginalized groups, including youth, refugees, and persons with disabilities.
His expertise includes policy development, strategic planning, gender audits, and the prevention of harassment and discrimination. He has designed and facilitated trainings on male allyship and gender-based violence prevention, while contributing to global and regional frameworks on the care economy, social sustainability, and women’s participation in the workforce. Suhail has advised governments, NGO and private sector stakeholders in sectors that include health, education, energy, public services and social protection in more than a dozen countries across the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Europe, and North America. He holds a Master’s degree in Management of International Development from the University of Turin and is fluent in Arabic and English.
